Created in 2005, the association « Terre et Humanisme Maroc » aims to promote and spread agroecology in Morocco. Its most ambitious achievement is a training center to agroecology (CIPA : Carrefour des Initiatives et des Pratiques Agroécologiques).
This space- created for experimentation with and the dissemination of agro-ecological practices – is a training center for farmers, rural workers and trainers. It is a pilot farm, ressource center and support structure for raising awareness of ecological know- how. It was inaugurated on May 27th 2015.
Situated in a semi arid area, in Douar Skoura is a village about 30 kilometers from Marrakech. The center is made of a fully restored traditionnal farm- house and a large market garden.
Bernard Chevillat’s account :
We are very proud of having helped to achieve this ambitious project .Directed by local women and men , its function is a complementary ressource to the actions of Terre et Humanisme Maroc and our wish is it becomes a reference place to the other training centers in semi arid areas.
